Proposal for an amendment to the Local 919 Constitution

Brother Dan Merlo has proposed an Amendment to the Constitution of IATSE Local 919, regarding the monthly meeting place. It was Dan that had previously proposed the duly accepted Amendment to have every third meeting in the Barre Area (4 meetings a year).

At the General Membership meeting on Monday, there was the official First Reading of the proposed Amendment.

The proposed amendment would add a line to the first sentence of Article IV, Section 2, ‘Membership Meetings’.

The proposed Amendment reads as follows:

“Regular meetings shall be held on the first Monday of every month at 7 o’clock PM, at a geographic location central to the contracts held by the local.”

The location currently central to our contracted client base is the Barre/Montpelier area.
